3 questions to learn if your baby's gut is healthy.

K guys, let’s talk gut health. Ever heard of it? Gut health? Yeah it's super important. And I'm kind of a gut health...nerd, lol. When I was in my last trimester I got a gnarly UTI. I tried everything I could to cure it naturally but it just wasn't working. When I took a followup urine culture and found that the infection was spreading, I was pretty devastated because I knew that meant that I had to take an antibiotic. Due to the fact that I wasn't quite far enough along that if he did come early due to the UTI it could be risky. So I took my antibiotic and the UTI went away and all was good.
Fast forward to the first month of Jude's life. HOLY. You guys, he's been a hard baby. Super colicky. Very un-content. Every time I fed him it was non-stop crying for the next half-hour. So I decided to change my diet and see if that made a difference, which it did. A big difference. He wasn't crying as much, seemed a little happier, which was good for my sanity! But it just wasn't enough. I knew that that darn antibiotic wrecked havoc for his poor little tummy. Every time I've ever taken an antibiotic I know that it always wrecks my gut health too. I couldn't imagine what it felt like for a brand new baby that was already going through so much!
So I started doing some research. I came across Evivo which is a probiotic specifically for babies gut health! More specifically for the first 6 months of your babies life, which is the most important time to get their gut health in check. Basically B. infantis, the key Bifidobacterium strain, is vital in building a strong foundation of good bacteria for your healthy baby. The presence of good bacteria in baby’s gut reduces potentially harmful bacteria linked to a higher risk for conditions like colic, eczema, allergies, obesity, and diabetes.
