The mysterious world of baby poop. Here’s what to look for, Mom.

Baby poop. It’s one of the first clues to understanding your baby’s gut health. A quick check of baby’s diaper can tell you what you need to know. Because what’s showing up there can give you a pretty good read on what’s going on in baby’s gut.

What’s really going on in baby’s diaper?

Is baby’s poop soft and well-formed? Or is it mushy or watery? Does baby go poop two to three times a day or more like 5-8 times a day? Baby poop can be a mystery, but if you know what to look for, it can help you figure out what’s best for your baby.

If there’s something going on in baby’s gut, the first place to look is in their diaper. The quality of baby’s poop will signal the presence of ‘good’ versus ‘bad’ bacteria in baby’s gut. If your baby has 5 or more watery poops per day, chances are baby’s gut has more bad bacteria than good. When baby’s gut is unable to properly break down nutrients in breast milk, baby can’t absorb them, and all the unused nutrition goes to waste, passing through the system as baby poop.

If baby has fewer, soft and well-formed poops per day, that’s a sign that baby properly digesting and absorbing the nutrients from breast milk. Good for you both! But if baby is missing the good gut bacteria it needs, she is not alone. There are plenty of babies in the U.S. who are also experiencing a lack of good gut bacteria. In fact, nine out of ten babies are missing the good gut bacteria B. infantis. It’s a common occurrence and can be attributed to the wide use of antibiotics and the increasing number of C-sections we have today.

What you can do about it is simple: reintroduce B. infantis to baby’s gut. Evivo is activated B. infantis; it works with breast milk to help your baby absorb the necessary nutrients for optimal nutrition and to help good bacteria to thrive.

In our clinical studies, the babies taking Evivo had, on average, just two to three soft, well-formed baby poops each day. Some had fewer, pooping only every few days. Just two to three, instead of the somewhat continuous five to eight watery ones. That’s the activated probiotic at work.

Evivo is the only baby probiotic clinically proven to restore the important good bacteria, B. infantis, to baby’s gut, and reduce bad bacteria in baby’s gut by 80%. Evivo restores baby’s gut to the state that nature intended and sets up baby for health that can last a lifetime. Ask your pediatrician about it.

Our pediatrician recommended Evivo for our son's tummy trouble. He has reflux that seems to make him super grumpy and he was pooping (and straining) A LOT. He's been on Evivo about 3 weeks, and although it's not the miracle cure other people are writing about, we're going to give it another month. He is pooping less and slightly less grumbly and grumpy. I'm not seeing any improvement with the reflux though. I will say it helps to give him his daily dose when he's hungry otherwise he spits it out. I can't blame him, it's gritty and smells like tuna fish. I can't say if his slight improvement is due to age or Evivo but we'll keep trying.

    Worth the money
My newborn son was having terrible gas pains after breastfeeding and would poop 8+ times a day which led to a horrible diaper rash no matter how clean and dry we kept his bottom! After a few days on evivo, my son was pooping 1-2 times a day and the diaper rash disappeared! He is also sleeping better now that he doesn’t have such bad gas pains. Can’t recommend this product enough!

    Great product!
Such a great product! Our little one is a premie and struggled with passing gas and pooping. There was constant grunting at night. After we started using Evivo it got so much better and he is finally sleeping longer stretches at night without grunting!

My newborn was crying and struggling with gas and stomach pain in the days following birth. Gas drops helped temporarily, but after some research I identified that the antibiotics I had been on during labor may have disturbed his gut flora. After several days on Evivo, he went from several painful poops per day to having a dirty diaper every few days with much less visible discomfort!

    Very helpful
Evivo has really helped with my son's reflux and diaper rash. Before starting Evivo, and even when we miss a few days, he spits up more and has more runny poop causing diaper rash.

    Will be buying again
Seems to work: baby poops less when we give Evivo (I'm taking it to mean more nutrients are absorbed?), and overall seems to have fewer issues with digestion.

Our daughter had colic and was pooping 8-12 Times a day with every diaper. Within 24 hours of starting evivo, her colic stopped and she only poops 1-2 Times a day now! Love it!

    It Works!!
This has made a tremendous difference in my granddaughter’s health. She was a preemie, one month early. She had problems “pooping”.and was very fuzzy. After about 7 days on Evivo she “started “ regular bowel movements. She became a happy thriving baby

    So far so good
I’ve almost completed one month of use for my baby who is now 2 months. My dr recommended trying because she was so gassy and uncomfortable. She seems less gassy now but not sure if that’s because she’s a month older from when we first started. I have noticed that she poops far less often though- once every 3 days as apossed to 3-5x a day (not sure if that’s a good thing).

    Game Changer
Our baby was struggling with gas almost every day. After reading about how taking antibiotics around the time of delivery effected the baby’s gut we decided to give Evivo a try. She went from having multiple little poops a day to one or two good poops a day. She also stopped struggling and grunting through the night with gas. She started smiling at us because she wasn’t in constant pain and that’s when we knew we had found something that worked!
