The mysterious world of baby poop. Here’s what to look for, Mom.

Baby poop. It’s one of the first clues to understanding your baby’s gut health. A quick check of baby’s diaper can tell you what you need to know. Because what’s showing up there can give you a pretty good read on what’s going on in baby’s gut.

What’s really going on in baby’s diaper?

Is baby’s poop soft and well-formed? Or is it mushy or watery? Does baby go poop two to three times a day or more like 5-8 times a day? Baby poop can be a mystery, but if you know what to look for, it can help you figure out what’s best for your baby.

If there’s something going on in baby’s gut, the first place to look is in their diaper. The quality of baby’s poop will signal the presence of ‘good’ versus ‘bad’ bacteria in baby’s gut. If your baby has 5 or more watery poops per day, chances are baby’s gut has more bad bacteria than good. When baby’s gut is unable to properly break down nutrients in breast milk, baby can’t absorb them, and all the unused nutrition goes to waste, passing through the system as baby poop.

If baby has fewer, soft and well-formed poops per day, that’s a sign that baby properly digesting and absorbing the nutrients from breast milk. Good for you both! But if baby is missing the good gut bacteria it needs, she is not alone. There are plenty of babies in the U.S. who are also experiencing a lack of good gut bacteria. In fact, nine out of ten babies are missing the good gut bacteria B. infantis. It’s a common occurrence and can be attributed to the wide use of antibiotics and the increasing number of C-sections we have today.

What you can do about it is simple: reintroduce B. infantis to baby’s gut. Evivo is activated B. infantis; it works with breast milk to help your baby absorb the necessary nutrients for optimal nutrition and to help good bacteria to thrive.

In our clinical studies, the babies taking Evivo had, on average, just two to three soft, well-formed baby poops each day. Some had fewer, pooping only every few days. Just two to three, instead of the somewhat continuous five to eight watery ones. That’s the activated probiotic at work.

Evivo is the only baby probiotic clinically proven to restore the important good bacteria, B. infantis, to baby’s gut, and reduce bad bacteria in baby’s gut by 80%. Evivo restores baby’s gut to the state that nature intended and sets up baby for health that can last a lifetime. Ask your pediatrician about it.

    Noticed difference immediately
Overall, my experience has been positive. We started Evivo because our daughter seemed to have gas pain. While she does continue to have some gas pain, it seems to be reduced. The biggest difference we noticed was in her bowel movements. Almost immediately, she went from pooping several times a day (yellow, very watery - not a concern though) to once every 2-3 days, a yellow-brown color and consistency of peanut butter. Evivo is fairly easy to administer - some days she's not so into it and spit some out but not a big deal.

    Highly recommend!
Love this probiotic! It has helped my now two-month-old have even poops and less gas. I wish I had started it even earlier. I recommend this product to all moms.

    Slowly but surely
I decided to try evivo since my baby was colic and had a hard time passing gas and stool. I had to take antibiotics when I was pregnant because of an infection so I figured that might have messed up my baby’s gut microbiome. By the 2nd day of taking evivo, my baby’s crying was less and he became more gassy but at least he was able to pass gas more easily. By the 2nd week, he was pooping regularly - around 3-4x a day. We tried using it every other day, and now he only poops 2x a day. His appetite grew as well and he is steadily gaining weight. I look forward to continuing using evivo and seeing the other benefits!

I loved using Evivo....my breast milk supply is almost gone so I’m not sure I can continue using, unless I mix with formula? But if I were to still have Breast milk I would continue giving to my daughter. Within 2 days we saw her bowel movements become so regular, she is continually having dirty diapers instead of not pooping for 2-2.5 days. Her gas and reflux cleared up, she burps way easier! Overall I really do think Evivo helped with my daughters tummy problems! I may continue giving to her even with formula, I figure it has to still do something with the formula as well!

    One month in...
We are only one month in, but I do feel like it has helped a bit. Slightly less gassy, and definitely less pooping. We will be trying another month to make sure its worth it.

Gassy beginning, then everything calmed down.
We began Evivo for our daughter at about 2 weeks old due to what appeared to be long bouts of gassy pain/and or colic like behavior. It seemed to initially make it worse (first few days), we almost gave up, but then things began to improve (by the end of the first week) and now she passes gas without pain (95%) of the time, and her poops have decreased from a watery-many to 0-3x of large bowel movements daily. She's nearing 1.5months and doing great.

    Thankful
My friend told me about evivo. I thought I would try it. My baby girl was spitting up after every feeding and really fussy. She also went a long time in between poops and seemed to really struggle to go. The doctor said since she was still gaining wait it wasn’t a problem and that it was normal for babies. It didn’t seem right that because lots of babies fuss that means there isn’t a problem. The probiotic has helped a lot. Obviously she still fusses because she’s a baby, but she doesn’t seem constantly uncomfortable.
