Dr. Fitzgerald trained at Loyola Medical Center in Chicago for pediatrics and neonatology and then went on to co-found DuPage Neonatology Associates, an academic, private practice group in Chicago. Dr. Fitzgerald continues to practice neonatology full time, has become a nationally and internationally recognized expert on infant nutrition, and is frequently asked to speak at the local, national, and international level.

Sarah Bajorek

Neonatologist

Dr. Sarah Bajorek is a board-certified neonatologist at St. Mary’s Hospital in Grand Junction, CO. She obtained her osteopathic medical degree at the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Pennsylvania.  She completed a pediatric residency at the University of Florida College of Medicine in Jacksonville, FL, and completed a neonatology fellowship at the University of Florida In Gainesville, FL.  During her time there she collaborated with Dr. Josef Neu on a study related to the microbiome of the newborn’s gut just after birth.  She also was a member of the clinical nutrition team, working to standardize and improve nutritional practices in the NICU.  After completion of training, she practiced Neonatology and completed the FOUNDATION study at the Orlando Health Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women and Children.
