What Baby Eczema Is Telling You About Gut Health
by Logan Can
All three of my children have suffered from baby eczema. They are doing so much better after making a few changes to their diet and products that we use, but for a while, it was such a problem. I hated seeing them constantly scratching and seeing the red dry patches on their beautiful little faces. It was frustrating not knowing what to do about it and having a lot of different opinions coming at me from all directions. That is until I started doing a lot of research on baby eczema and how your baby’s gut health can contribute to that along with allergies colic and a host of other issues. A light bulb went off in my head when I read this because my oldest son was a colic baby and had the worst eczema out of all of them. Being our first baby, we had no idea what to do about it. Was it normal? Were we doing something wrong?
Did you know:
- There are at least two children with food allergies in almost every kindergarten classroom (source: FARE)
- Over one million children in the U.S. have type 1 diabetes (source: American Diabetes Association)
- The rate of obesity doubles as children grow from toddlers to teens (source: CDC)
- 9.6 million children under the age of 18 have eczema; of this total, 3.2 million children (33%) have moderate to severe cases (source: National Eczema Org)
Absolutely staggering statistics! The presence of B. Infantis has dropped in recent generations and is contributing to baby eczema, allergies, diabetes and obesity in our children. Evivo works with a mother’s breastmilk to give baby this good bacteria that is so vital to their gut health. Evivo captures all the nutrients from breast milk that gets wasted and turns it into added nutrients for baby! Giving your baby this good bacteria now will not only strengthen their immune system, it will protect them from auto-immune diseases later!
